For this weekend adventure, we'll pick you up at the train station in Poughkeepsie, NY*, and drive up together to the Adirondacks. There we'll stay in a cabin and spend the next two days climbing at one of the many great locations - Chapel Pond, Cascade Pass, Wilmington Notch, Poke-O-Moonshine, etc. Sunday after the climbing, we'll pack up and get you back to the train station around 5:30pm for the 5:54pm train to NYC.
Lodging Friday and Saturday night, and all technical climbing equipment needed is provided.

Are you new to climbing or have you been climbing mostly indoors and Interested in learning more about climbing outdoors? For this event we’ll start with review and lessons of gear, then cover knots, commands, safety checks, belaying, and climbing movement all while getting your ou climbing as many routes as we can. We will also take a short break from climbing and review rappelling skills needed for descent.
We'll meet you at 9am at the Uberfall in the Trapps for the day.

AAC Philly Chapter Road Trip to The Gunks!
Traditional anchor Building and Efficiency Tips for Lead Climbers - For experienced climbers looking to get out on the sharp end and improve (or start) their leading skills, we're offering a clinic on anchor building and efficiency skills. We'll cover: gear placement, extension, and anchor building; methods of belaying and lowering off the anchor; rope management and stance management, and rappelling safety tips. This is for climbers who have prior experience and are familiar with traditional gear removal, can tie the basic knots (figure eight and a clove hitch), and basic rappelling.
Limited to 8 participants on a 4:1 climber-to-guide ratio. Participants in the lead clinic will need to provide their own basic equipment (helmet, harness ,shoes) and their own basic rack - a selection of nuts, cams, carabiners, slings, and 2 cordellette, 4 pear shaped locking carabiners.
SUNY New Paltz Transfer Over Night (2-day) Outdoor Trip Free Purchase required to enroll
SUNY Transfer students can now participate in a two day, overnight adventure. The trip will be held in the Catskill Mountains, about 1 hour north of SUNY New Paltz. During both days of the trip, you'll enjoy the beautiful scenery while on one of the many great hikes around the campsite - scenic vistas, cascading waterfalls, lakes, and wildlife.
SUNY will provide all the technical camping equipment needed (backpack, tent, sleeping pad, sleeping bag, stove, etc.) and food. The trip will be supervised by New York State Licensed Guides from Alpine Endeavors and they will provide some skill and instruction in outdoor living skills such as: packing a pack, pitching a tent, cooking, water purification, Leave No Trace ethics, map & compass, and more.
The campsite will be at one of NY's great state parks. In addition to the camping, the park will offer - bathrooms, showers, running water, as well as hiking on some of the great trails in the area.
Hiking activities will range from beginner to advanced options.
Colorado Rock and Alpine Combo - 5 days, party of 2 $2,195 Purchase required to enroll
This is a 5-day trip and includes lodging and ground transportation from and to Denver International Airport. It will include climbing in Eldorado and/or Boulder Canyon and Rocky Mountain National Park. Length and durations are dependent on the weather, but the itinerary is to climb the first 2 days in/around Boulder, then drive to Estes Park to stay in a bunkhouse to prep for an alpine route in the park. Bivouac the next night, climb, and head out to Estes. The fifth day we'll travel back to climb in Eldorado Canyon, then take the red eye back home. Rates are based on a party of 2, private bookings are available at an additional fee.
