Alpine Endeavors would like to encourage and allow everyone to introduce rock climbing to their children. Scheduled guests can have up to 2 kids (12 years old and younger) accommodate them for only $35* per child. We even provide kid's helmets, harnesses, and shoes.

Experience more of the Shawangunks and join us on a day of rock climbing and mountain biking.

This adventurous day is open to participants of all ability levels.
We provide all the necessary technical equipment - helmets, harness, rock shoes, ropes, etc for climbing and helmets and mountain bikes for the ride.

A typical day will start out on the cliffs for a half day of rock climbing where we'll review the basics and get you climbing routes that you're comfortable with as well as some harder routes to challenge you some. After the climbing, we'll get on the mountain bikes and explore some of the great vistas and waterfalls on anyone of the miles and miles of carriage roads.

This program has a two person minimum

Top Roping Anchors, Part 2 - For climbers who are interested in getting out on your own top-roping, we are offering two, one-day clinics covering the skills you need to build natural and/or bolted top ropes.

This is part 2 in a series for climbers who have had prior training with top rope anchors. If you have not had any prior training, you will need to take the 2-day clinic offered this weekend. We reserve the right to ask anyone who attends without prior skills to leave without refund or credit.

Part 2 will include: review and more practice of anchor building, rappelling off the anchor, ground management, belay skills.

Limited to 8 participants on a 4:1 climber-to-guide ratio. All equipment provided.

Big Wall Skills $205 per appointment A credit card is required to enroll but isn't charged until the time of service.

Big Walls focus on two key skills: aiding a traditional climb (how you get the rope up) and ascending the lead line (how you clean it). With those two skills, climbers can expand their range of accessible goals and set out on climbs they wouldn't normally try free climbing. They will open up new adventures on longer climbs and steeper walls.

Participants will aid a trad climb and ascend using both steep and low-angle methods. Various aid tools and techniques will be discussed, along with options and gear for rope positioning.

Required gear: harness, helmet, stiff soled approach shoes or boots
Recommended gear: 6-8 locking carabiners, 2 x fifi hooks, two etriers (aid ladders), two ascenders, two daisy chains, traditional gear rack (cams and stoppers), slings and carabiners

This is based on a minimum of two participants. Rates are per person.

We'll show you more of the skills you need to climb more efficiently, introduce you to traditional gear and how to clean it, knots for anchoring, basic rope management, rappelling with a back up, and provide you with as much rock climbing as possible

Rock Climbing Full Day - Private - Non FCC Saturday $295 per appointment A credit card is required to enroll but isn't charged until the time of service.

This is for only for Frequent Climber Card holders who want to schedule a one-on-one day with your own private guide on a Saturday - FCC's are not valid for Saturday climbing.


You can move at your own pace an cover skills and climbs you want. A typical day meets at 9am and ends around 4pm.

We provide all the technical equipment needed - helmet, harness, rock shoes, rope, etc.. You'll need to bring personal gear and lunch.

Rock Climbing Escape- train, transport and lunch $215 Purchase required to enroll

For this day out, we'll pick you up at the train station in Poughkeepsie, NY, at 8:38 am drive you to the climbing location - grabbing a sandwich on the way - and return you to the station afterward around 5pm for the 5:45 pm train. Lunch and all technical equipment needed for the day is provided.
You'll need to bring water, snacks and clothing suitable for the weather.

This is a two day program designed to introduce you to the skills and supervised practice for those climbers looking to learn how to lead rock climbs.

Join us for three and a half days of rock climbing* in the North Conway, NH area with your own private guide. The areas where we will climb can vary from areas such as: crags along the Kankamangus Highway, Cathedral Ledge, Franconia Notch, Cannon Cliff, etc., all dependent on conditions and your climbing experience. This trip is for guiding and permits only. You will need to provide transportation, lodging and meals for yourself and your guide.

For this day out, we'll meet you and provide transportation from Rock and Snow in New Paltz NY, at 9:00 am drive you to the climbing location - and return you to the shop around 4pm. Transportation from/to the store and all technical equipment needed for the day is provided.
You'll need to bring lunch, water, snacks and clothing suitable for the weather.
